The Criterion Hotel overlooks the Fitzroy River and the beautifully landscaped and prepared Riverbank walk. Parkers Function Room is the original ‘Grand Ballroom’ of the Criterion Hotel, which was built by the Parker and Curtis families in 1889. Parkers has lost none of the character of that bygone era and is truly representative of the traditional English/Victorian influence in the development of Rockhampton. 

The Criterion Hotel is a comprehensive establishment offering a full bar, The Bush Inn Bar & Grill Steak House serving up mouth-watering dishes and comfortable accommodation. Breakfast and lunch are also available for guests 7 days a week.

GUEST NUMBERS/ BAR SERVICE

Parkers is fully air-conditioned with its own bar and, subject to the style of the function, can cater for up to 100 guests cocktail style or 60 guests in a more formal seated style. Room hire of $150 with a minimum of 30 guests allows for the bar to be opened and operated. For numbers under 30 a staff member can be supplied at a charge of $30 per hour.

ENTERTAINMENT
The Criterion does have access to several local entertainers and is happy to put you in touch with them, to organise this portion of your function. We do reserve the right to veto any entertainment not considered suitable with regard to the hotel licence and request a moderate music volume is maintained.
